Welcome to CHES Career Services |
CHES Career Services is a specialized office dedicated to the career preparation and professional development of all majors - undergraduate and graduate - within the College of Human Environmental Sciences. We work collaboratively with each academic unit (DHM, HDFS, HRAD, NSCI) as well as with OSU Career Services to offer the most efficient and effective services possible to meet students' career exploration, preparation, and development needs. Our office is located in the Patricia Kain Knaub Center for Student Success - 101 HES - on the Stillwater campus. Our site is organized into five sections: DREAM: Information and resources for career exploration and establishing your collegiate goals. Includes links to self-assessment tools, such as "Do What You Are". BUILD: Focus on identifying and building on your skills, abilities, strengths through information about professional development opportunities. CONNECT: Networking information and resources for helping our majors make connections for their professional development. Links provided include those for general job search, internship focus, international, and major-specific. LEAD: Strengthening leadership skills is incredibly important to all majors within the HES College; therefore, we focus on sharing information about professionally relevant opportunities to enhance and refine those abilities. PREPARE: Details, details, details! Information and resources posted here focus on the job/internship search and preparation process. Topics covered include resumes, cover letters, and interviewing.
